About the Conference Logo

The logo for the Cambio de Colores conference is based on a map produced by the Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis (OSEDA), at the University of Missouri-Columbia. The map represents the growth in the population of people of Hispanic/Latino heritage between the census years of 1990 and 2000.

In this map, the counties in red had an increase of 1,000 or more people; the counties in ocre between 100 and 1,000, and the rest 100 or less.

The article is available at OSEDA's web site:

" Missouri Hispanic Population Doubles from 1990 – 2000", Trendletter, April, 2001.

More information on the topics of the conference can be found in our developing on-line Library.
