On June 8th, students interested in Latino and immigrant communities in the Midwest will gather to become acquainted and establish an academic network across multiple universities in the region. Please see details of the student gathering here, and RSVP via Facebook.


The Cambio de Colores conference brings researchers, practitioners and and those working with immigrant community in sharing experiences and knowledge that facilitate the integration and inclusion of immigrants in new settlement areas.

Registration Fees

The regular registration fee is $200 per person.  This fee includes all breaks, one lunch, one dinner, and two breakfasts, as well as a conference packet. A late registration fee of $25 will be added for registration received on or after June 2. There are special rates for full time students (please see schedule below).

Some need-based assistance/scholarships will be available; please send inquiries to decolores@missouri.edu. We particularly invite community members to request assistance, particularly those people who do not have a professional organization or affiliation that could support their participation.

The conference registration fees are as follows:

Early Bird registration (through April 15, 2016)

Online and Paper Registration

Pre-registration is now closed but conference registration is still available.  Please register onsite on Wednesday, June 8 at the Courtyard Marriott. The registration desk will open at noon on Wednesday, June 8, and at 7:30am on Thursday June 9th and Friday June 10th. 


The Conference is offering University of Missouri Extension Continuing Education Units. When registering, please remember to indicate if you are requesting CEUs. The cost of CEUs is included with your registration fee (no additional payment is needed). We are also willing to work with your school district or other authority for other types of continuing education credits. Let us know.

Refund Policy

All cancellations and requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the MU Conference office by fax (573-882-1953) or email. There will be a $25 processing fee for canceling. Please note that no refund requests will be honored after May 27, 2016. However, substitutions (transferring your registration to someone else) are always welcome!
